See the difference

How many kids share one adult?

Tap through the group sizes. Every child here works one on one, in a pair, or in a small group of four, based on what they need.

One adult, twenty kids.

In a crowded room, attention gets split twenty ways. It's hard for anyone to notice how each child learns best.

A day at Transitions

A plan built for your child, from the first assessment

Every child starts with an individual assessment. We build a plan around their needs and IEP goals, break each skill into small steps, and teach it using science-based methods.

One on one learning

Focused teaching time with a staff member who knows exactly what your child is working on.

Time with other kids

Small group activities where kids practice playing, sharing, and making friends.

Communication and everyday skills

Lots of practice expressing needs and building the skills kids use at home and at school.

Training and support for parents

We work alongside you, so you know what we're working on and how to keep progress going at home.

Open year round. No long summer break, so kids keep the progress they've worked so hard for.

From one of our moms

“Seeing my son learn to communicate, express himself, and grow more confident brings tears of joy to my eyes. You supported us through difficult moments and never gave up on him. Thank you for believing in him and helping him find his voice.”

Why we do this

“Nothing compares to hearing a child say their first words.”

One of my favorite parts of this work is comparing notes with parents. A child might communicate one way with us and a completely different way at home. When we put those pieces together, we start to understand what they're really trying to tell us.

Big milestones or small wins, those moments are why we do this.
